Cloud software and hosting industry veteran, Patrick brings over 20 years of experience in technical, management, and leadership roles in which he continuously brought innovation and global growth to brands. Patrick joins Acronis from GoDaddy, where he most recently served as President of the Partner Business. In that role, he led the company’s strategic expansion of its Hosting, Productivity, and Security services through resellers and agency partners. Combining that experience with his product development expertise, Patrick is an expert in developing successful, cloud-based go-to-market strategies, particularly through service providers, resale channels, and strategic alliances. Previously Patrick held executive leadership roles as CEO of Host Europe GmbH and Group CEO of Host Europe Group (HEG), where he served as Group COO – having grown HEG from a small business to one that sold for $1.8 billion. He earned his MBA from The Open University in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England.

Jeff has worked in technology for his entire career and been knee-deep in the hosting and service provider space for 17 years. His career has covered all the angles – from hardware, software, and hosting, to the cloud while working in large enterprises, small startups, and the in-betweens. He specializes in messaging, human behavior, economics, and “solving the human puzzle” of marketing and communications. Candid Wüest has accumulated extensive experience in the field of IT security for the past 20 years. Since 2020, he is the VP of Cyber Protect Research at Acronis and as of Nov 2023 VP of Product Management. From 2003-2020, he was employed by Symantec Switzerland. As Principal Threat Researcher he evaluated current and future trends in the threat landscape and researched new protection methods. Prior to this Candid analyzed computer viruses for the Symantec Anti-Malware Lab in Dublin and created malware signatures. He also worked for the Global Security Analyzing Lab of IBM Research in Rüschlikon and for Creative Netconsulting which he co-founded as Chief Security Officer (CSO). Candid did his master in computer science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH).

Todd leads security ecosystem business development for the Business Client Division of Intel. He is an expert in hardware security technologies and edge to cloud practices for securing applications and devices. For the past 14 years, he has directed go-to-market engagements for Intel’s IOT Secure Device Onboard, API Management, Security Gateway, Identity, PCI Tokenization, and Big Data software and service offerings. His 25+ years in the enterprise security sector have included leadership work for Ping Identity, IBM, Cendant and other corporations. Todd has a degree in marketing, an MBA, and is based in Colorado.

James R. Slaby is the Director of OT Solutions at Acronis. Previously, Slaby was an industry analyst covering cybersecurity, cloud computing and networking at Forrester Research, HFS Research, Yankee Group and The Info Pro. He has also held solutions, vertical, product and campaign marketing roles at tech security and networking vendors including Sonus, Acme Packet, Bay Networks and Motorola.

Passionate about Linux and IT for more than 20 years, Luis soon began working as a computer technician and offering support to companies. He learned to listen to his customers and understand what their needs were. Now after several years of professional growth, he is in charge of Data Center management and all aspects of Cyber Security for our clients.
